Instruments programmed for the Fishman TriplePlay Wireless Guitar Controller
The EastWest MIDI Guitar Instruments, from producers Doug Rogers and Nick Phoenix, differ from the current EastWest virtual instruments, which are optimized for keyboards. They have been selected and designed to take advantage of the complex and unique waveforms produced by a guitars vibrating strings.

MGS Vol 1: Orchestra is comprised of 190 instruments divided into 4 categories: Strings, Brass, Woodwinds, and Percussion. In total, this volume contains over 18 GB of 16 bit / 44.1 kHz samples. Spanning the multi-award winning virtual instrument collection of Symphonic Orchestra, these instruments were recorded by 11-time Grammy nominated classical recording engineer Prof. Keith O. Johnson, and redesigned especially for use with MIDI guitar controllers.

Instruments included:

•     Strings (72): 3 Cellos, 4 Violins, 9 Double Basses (6), 10 Cellos (7), 10 Violas (7), 11 Violins (8), 18 Violins (7), Harp (3), Harpsichord, Large String Ensemble (6), Solo Cello (7), Solo Contrabass (6), Solo Viola (5), Solo Violin (7).
•     Brass (50): 2 Trumpets (4), 3 Wagner Tuben (2), 4 Trombones (5), 4 Trumpets (3), 6 French Horns (6), Solo French Horn (4), Solo Piccolo Trumpet (3), Solo Trombone (5), Solo Trumpet 1 (4), Solo Trumpet 2 (9), Solo Tuba (5).
•     Woodwinds (55): 3 Clarinets (2), 3 Flutes (4), 3 Oboes (4), Solo Alto Flute (5), Solo Bass Clarinet (5), Solo Bassoon (5), Solo Clarinet (6), Solo Contrabassoon (5), Solo English Horn (4), Solo English Horn 2 (3), Solo Flute (5), Solo Oboe (4), Solo Piccolo Flute (3).
•     Percussion (13): Bass Drum Concert, Castanets, Church Organ, Cymbals, Zildjan Crash, Field Ensemble, Gong, Marimba, Orchestra Chimes, Timpani Hits, Triangle, Vibraphone, Woodblock Symphony.

Current Fishman TriplePlay users will notice the EastWest instruments do not have to be loaded for each string. EastWest included a system that loads the instruments on all strings at the same time, greatly reducing the computer resources required, and especially if the instrument uses SSL EQ/Compression, Ohmicide multi-band distortion, EastWest Convolution reverb, or EastWest Amp Simulator, included in the EastWest PLAY software for each collection.
